The Robinson Institute is named after renowned obstetrician Professor Jeffrey Robinson who promoted the strong research culture in reproductive medicine at the University of Adelaide. The Institute brings together a unique blend of clinical and research leaders with wide ranging expertise, from epidemiology through to genetics and molecular biology. Led by reproductive medicine expert Professor Robert Norman, the Institute was officially launch in 2009, comprising of nearly 400 researchers. |

The Robinson Institute encompasses four of the University of Adelaide's leading research centres:
- Centre for Stem Cell Research
- Research Centre for Reproductive Health
- Research Centre for Early Origins of Health & Disease
- Australian Research Centre for Health of Women & Babies
The Robinson Foundation was launched in 2010 to support the life-giving research of the Robinson Institute.
